There are several things that must be proven in a product liability lawsuit. First, it must be shown that the plaintiff was injured. Next, there must be proof that the product in question is defective in some manner, either through a design or manufacturing defect, or because the manufacturer failed to provide proper instructions for use. Finally, it must be shown that the problem with the product was the cause of the plaintiff’s injury. Furthermore, the plaintiff needs to show that his or her injuries were suffered through the standard and regular use of the product.
